At some point, our world will return to normal - even if it is a new normal. But where will we go for our first night out?
We asked some well-known names in the Irish food and drinks industry to tell us what they're planning when restrictions are lifted. Today, we spoke to Conor Spacey of FoodSpace Ireland, which runs restaurants and cafés around the country:
"Food, what you eat and where you eat is very much dependent on how you feel during that moment in time. For me, being at home and missing the social side to eating out means I'm craving really good comfort food that I can enjoy, and at the same time know that I am eating well.
My first point of call would be Grow HQ in Waterford to eat any of the dishes that are made with the fantastic seasonal produce grown right in front of you.
I am also very lucky to travel a lot with my work and eat in amazing places. My best meal of 2019 was while I was doing some work in Rome with Cristina Bowerman and had dinner in her restaurant Glass Hostaria. This is one of the best Michelin star restaurants I’ve eaten in and Cristina's pumpkin ravioli is a memory I will have forever.
I can't wait to start travelling again and making more memories with food!"
