No, this is not a drill: you can get €3 Mojitos in Dublin tomorrow to celebrate National Mojito Day in style.

Fresh mint, the finest rum and a sweet sprinkle of sugar make the classic Mojito one of the most refreshing drinks you have sip on in the summer, so the news that tomorrow, Wednesday 11th July, is National Mojito Day is very good news indeed.

As if you needed an excuse for a midweek pick-me-up, four Dublin restaurants are doing special €3 Mojitos in association with Bacardi Ireland.

Cleaver East in Temple Bar, Bon Appetit in Malahide and both Beef & Lobster locations (Parliament Street and Malahide) are bustling restaurants that serve a selection of tapas, indulgent burgers and seafood.

All you have to do to avail of the offer is purchase a main course in the restaurant and enjoy your choice from a selection of flavoured Mojitos.

Choose from dishes such as Pan Fried Cod with Wild Garlic, Mussel and Pea Broth, Samphire and Seville Orange, the €18 Pornburger in Cleaver East (Double Smoked Ground Beef Rump Patty, Maple Glazed Streaky Bacon, Monterey Jack Cheese, Beer Battered Onion Rings, CE Burger Sauce, Pickled Ruby Slaw on a Sesame Seed Bun) or a Surf 'n' Turf in Beef & Lobster.

Want to make your own mojitos at home? Try this simple recipe from Bacardi!

2 parts BACARDÍ Superior Rum
4 lime wedges
12 fresh mint leaves
2 heaped tsp caster sugar
1 part soda water/club soda
Sprig of fresh mint

Take the lime wedges and squeeze them in the glass. Gently press together the limes & sugar. Bruise the mint leaves by clapping them between your palms, rub them on the rim of the glass and drop them in. Next, half fill the glass with crushed ice, add the BACARDÍ SUPERIOR rum & stir. Top with crushed ice, a splash of soda, and a sprig of mint.
