Dela Restaurant on Dominick Street, Galway is launching a pre-supper club consisting of organic produce and locally sourced meat and fish. Not just any organic food either, but from the restaurant's very own, 3000 square foot polytunnel at the Dela Farm in Moycullen. By growing their own seasonal produce Dela has cut out the middle man and made organic food more affordable, without scrimping on taste.
Owners Mags and Joe Bohan promote conscientious, sustainable eating, true to the ethos of the restaurant itself. Dela means 'to share' and so, Mags and Joe are determined to share their knowledge of organic produce with other locals. “We want to take the mystery out of growing your own - we are only one generation away from when our parents grew their produce. If we don’t grow, it stops with them. We are working on a program to bring some of the local school along with our project."
The Dela Pre Supper Club is inviting diners to join them from Tuesday - Saturday after 6pm. The evening menu will change according to availability week to week.
