Chilli and smoked paprika buttered popcorn

This makes a nice alternative to serving crisps if having people over for drinks



Makes 1 large bowl

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 50g cooked popcorn


  1. In a saucepan on a low heat, mix in the butter, smoked paprika, chilli flakes, onion powder and seasoning. When the butter has melted, cook for one minute.
  2. Pour the chilli butter over the popcorn and mix. Sprinkle a little extra smoked paprika over the popcorn.


If you can take the heat, add in a little cayenne and a dash of Tabasco sauce.
